Update on Frog

The toadstool in the thumbnail to the left is inching closer to production, with the Frog shoot looming in under two weeks and a completion date pegged for the end of January. The film is my first collaboration with producers John Poliquin, Jeremy Regimbal and Justin Close, a Vancouver trio with a knack for pulling miracles out of thin air, which suits my style of overthinking and overdirecting rather well.

Unfolding across five blocks and two neighbourhoods in one shot, Frog looks at the sharp turns our lives take in their youth, the fragile nature of human dependence and the difficulty of saying goodbye to a person we still have so much of ourselves stored inside. Smallville's Allison Mack and Chad Krowchuk (Mentors) star.

Keep an eye on this spot for a rush of news and updates to come, followed by a launch of the full Frog website on January 21.
