Kite Circuit is a sprawling, microcosmic explosion of colour and sound that playfully explores the relationship between time and space by following nine interwoven stories across one city block in one minute of time. Characters and caricatures peacefully coexist in this candy coloured universe and the only limit to their antics is at the end of a road called Kite Circuit.
Kite Circuit is a ten minute short film sheparded from script to screen by four Queensland-based student filmmakers. With empty wallets and sky high ambitions, the filmmakers whittled down a series of grandiose set pieces to fit a tidy four day shooting schedule. Filming took place this past October on Super16mm.
Kite Circuit premiered at the 5th Tribeca Film Festival in New York City and is presently touring film festivals worldwide. Refer to the screening calendar for the latest dates and venues.
