Kite Circuit is a sprawling, microcosmic explosion of colour and sound that playfully explores the relationship between time and space by following nine interwoven stories across one city block in one minute of time. True to the old adage, many of the colourful characters spread across these nine stories have found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.
A pair of escaped convicts scheme to play a practical joke, but must do so under the radar of their target's rightful owner and the swarm of police prowling the block. Across the street, two dim-witted cops intercept an alleged drug trafficker, but a strip search leads to some surprising conclusions when a drunk passer-by mistakes them for a gay couple. Meanwhile, a highly confrontational woodpecker has escaped from the neighbourhood pet shop and attacks all reflected challengers, whether they're reflected in a car mirror or the camera lens of an unwitting photographer that’s ventured too close. And high above it all, two hitmen threaten to drop a woman off the side of an office tower to prove a hare-brained hypothesis for once and for all.
These and other vignettes weave together to form a rich tapestry of organized chaos, populated by characters and caricatures alike and bound only by the edge of a candy-coloured road called Kite Circuit.
