Oblivion (2004)

A feature-length experimental thriller, Oblivion peers into the dark subconscious of five survivors of a nuclear war who are marooned in an underground research facility with no chance of escape. Made for $30,000 with assistance from the Alberta Foundation from the Arts and filmed over two weeks in an empty warehouse, Oblivion is the first collaboration between then-16 year old filmmakers Austin Andrews and Matthew Clayfield.
Shot in 2002, Oblivion premiered two years later with a simultaneous web-linked premiere and Q&A between theatres in Calgary, Canada, where the film was shot, and Robina, Australia, where Austin and Matt were attending university.
