An accomplished short film director, Austin's work has screened on seven continents at festivals including Rome and Tribeca, and has won numerous awards.
His photography of Burma has appeared in the online editions of TIME and Foreign Policy magazines, as well as featuring in the upcoming National Geographic photo book Wild Wild Weather. Austin was also named a top-five finalist for the 2007 Qantas Spirit of Youth Award for Photography.
Austin runs a photoblog, Disposable Words, with weekly photo essays of "all things good in life". It regularly rates in the top 1% most-read blogs as compiled by tracking service Technorati.
His photography is represented worldwide by ZUMA Press.
